Be More App

Anyone with Danalogic Ambio/Ambio Smart hearing aids can download the free BeMore app onto their Android or Apple devices. It can be used on mobile phones and tablet/iPads. To check if your device is compatible you can visit:

The app can be use discreetly to control and personalise your hearing aids. You can adjust the volume, easily move between programmes, adjust high and low frequencies and much more.

Remote controls

If your device is not compatible with the BeMore app or you don’t have a smart phone or tablet but would like to control your hearing aids without using the hearing aid buttons, then consider a remote control. Each brands of hearing aids have different options. Ask our advisers which one is right for you

ReSound Remote

Personal / Conversation listeners

Assistive equipment with a directional microphone can work with your hearing aids or with headphones whichever suits you best. These are sometimes available from social services sensory loss teams or from Access to Work.

Wireless TV Listeners

There are multiple devices that work with headphones or link directly to your hearing aids using neckloops, bluetooth or audiocasting allowing everyone to listen at a comfortable volume.

Landline Telephones

We can advise on a range of devices, that amplify the receiver, have an inductive loop built in, a loud ringer or a flashing alert light, larger buttons and memory functions or speed dials.

Doorbells

Not hearing the doorbell can be frustrating and sometimes cause anxiety. There are a range of products available to know someone is at the door with features such as:

  • Loud ringers
  • Flashing alert lights
  • Portable: can be moved from room to room
  • Control tone, volume and change pitch
  • Higher range doorbells such as Ring can be controlled via an app and camera on the doorbell. You get an alert on your phone when someone presses the doorbell.
  • If you have a doorbell you are happy with, you can get an alert system that can be trained to listen to your doorbell and alert you.

Alarm Clocks

Need a little extra help getting up in the morning? We can advise on a range of alarm clocks:

  • Extra loud
  • Vibrating pads that lie under your pillow
  • Large displays
  • Travel versions
  • Some versions can connect to mobile phones and be controlled via apps

Smoke Alarms

We can advise about what is available and provide the information you need to decide works for you:

  • Louder alert
  • Flashing alert light
  • Vibration pad for under pillow
