Ffion Mon Roberts
Communication Support Officer
With lived experience supporting the Deaf community, at COS, Ffion helps Deaf people gain equal access to information and health services via the Accessible Health and Information Advice and Assistance projects comfortably translating between English, Welsh BSL and IAC the Welsh sign language.
As an Education Support Specialist in IAC she visits North Wales schools, helping children gain experience using sign language with the Abi Project.
Growing up on Anglesey around Deaf family, Ffion was introduced to BSL at a very young age, which she also uses to communicate with her partner, who is also a Deaf BSL user.
Having started working in COS in 2021 as a Communication Support Worker, Ffion continues to develop her skills, currently studying for her Level 6 translation qualification.
In her spare time, Ffion enjoys spending time with her family and is very fond of her 2 cats. You will usually find her chilling out in the โCatioโ with them.
